Egyptian Helicopters attacked six vehicles carrying Eritrean refugees at the Sudanese-Egyptian border on January 11, 2009.  The attack occurred while the vehicles carring the refugees were crossing into the Egyptian side of the border.

Eritrean Refugees Are Again Big Issue in Swiss Politics

The Swiss Federal Council, the highest governing authority in the country, is currently hotly debating a proposed draft law aiming to stop mainly Eritrean asylum seekers (army deserters) from entering the country in big numbers, Swiss papers reported this week.
