Twenty-four Gold Miners and one Soldier Killed in Eritrea

On April 8 & 9, 2010, Eritrean military forces set an underground fire at two gold mines in Hademdem and Fanko areas in the Gash-Barka Region of Eritrea and killed 24 miners, sources of Eritrean People’s Democratic Party reported.

7,798 Eritreans Fled their Home Country Since January ‘10

The number of Eritrean refugees who fled their home country since January of this year rose to 7,798, of which 5,818 entered Eastern Sudan and 1,980 in Northern Ethiopia, reported sources of Eritrean People’s Democratic Party.
